Terri Jentz was nineteen years old when she embarked on a cross country bike trip with her best friend from Yale in 1977. Days into their journey, the two women are brutally attacked. Camped in a local park near Bend, they awaken to a truck deliberately running over their tent, and the driver subsequently attacking them with an ax.
